Payment is initiated within 1 business day of offer acceptance via SEPA bank transfer.

What types of diamonds and jewellery do you buy?

Diamond Brothers buys natural loose diamonds of all sizes and cuts (round brilliant, princess, oval, emerald, cushion, pear and others), GIA-, IGI- and HRD-certified stones, uncertified diamonds, old-cut antique diamonds, coloured diamonds, sapphires, rubies and emeralds, as well as gold jewellery in 9k to 24k, antique jewellery and diamond rings, bracelets, necklaces and earrings.

Is the valuation free of charge?

Yes. All our diamond and jewellery valuations are free, with no obligation to sell.

Is it safe to ship my diamonds?

Yes. We offer fully insured FedEx shipping, along with a free packaging kit and step-by-step instructions for secure pickup or drop-off.

Do I need a diamond certificate?

No. A certificate isn't required, but if you have one (GIA, IGI, or HRD), please include it for reference.

When will I receive the payment?

The payment is initiated within 24 hours after the offer is accepted.

How do I get a free evaluation?

Fill out the online form here with details and photographs of your diamond or jewellery. Diamond Brothers' certified gemologists review each submission and issue a preliminary valuation within 1 business day, followed by a final offer after physical inspection at the Antwerp office.

In which countries do you operate?

Diamond Brothers serves clients across Europe, including Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Spain and Luxembourg. Insured FedEx pickup is available from all these markets, with payment made in euros by SEPA bank transfer.

What payment methods do you accept?

Diamond Brothers processes all payments by SEPA bank transfer in EUR, initiated within 1 business day of the seller accepting the offer. Payment is made to the seller's nominated European bank account, with email confirmation sent at the time of transfer.

Are my details kept confidential?

Yes. All personal information and transaction details submitted to Diamond Brothers are handled in strict confidence and processed in accordance with GDPR and Belgian data protection regulations. No client data is shared with third parties outside the transaction process.

How do you determine the value of the gold?

Diamond Brothers calculates gold value using the current EUR gold spot price multiplied by the verified weight in grams and purity. Karat is confirmed through XRF analysis or acid testing in Antwerp. All gold purities from 9k (375) to 24k (999) are accepted, including yellow, white and rose gold.

Will you still buy my diamond if I have already removed the gold?

Yes, we buy loose diamonds as well as diamonds set in jewellery. Whether your diamond is mounted or unmounted, we can provide a valuation and make an offer.

What type of gold and precious metals do you buy?

We buy all types of gold (yellow, white, rose) in various purities (9k, 14k, 18k, 22k, 24k), as well as platinum and silver jewellery.

Do you buy gemstones with treatments?

Yes, we buy both treated and untreated gemstones. However, the treatment type and extent may affect the valuation. Please disclose any known treatments when submitting your item.

Is a lab certificate required for a valuation?

No, a lab certificate is not required. However, having a certificate from a recognised laboratory (GIA, IGI, HRD) can help expedite the valuation process and may positively influence the offer.

How does a ruby's origin affect its value?

A ruby's origin is a primary value factor. Burmese rubies (Myanmar) command the highest premiums due to their vivid pigeon-blood red colour. Origin is confirmed through laboratory reports from GRS, Gübelin, or SSEF. Diamond Brothers accepts both treated and untreated rubies, with untreated stones from renowned sources typically achieving the strongest valuations.

Can I get a diamond valuation without selling?

Yes. Diamond Brothers provides free expert valuations with no obligation to sell at any stage. After physical inspection at the Antwerp office, a final offer is issued in writing. Sellers who decline the offer have their items returned via insured FedEx at no cost.
